Gerhard Topp founded our company whose main focus was on the fabrication of woven rugs, bias bindings and coatings. The success arrived, the company grew and within a short time more than 120 employees were working for Topp.

Topp Textil produces more than one hundred million meters of tapes every year. At the beginning of the 50s Gerhard Topp invented the seamless bias binding – revolutionary! Due to his pioneering spirit we have today's worldwide industrial standard to develop a bias binding from a tube.
1956 …
The first independent site in Milan was settled down. In one of the most important fashion capitals we expanded our technical know-how with Italian fabric and fashion expertise. Soon production sites in Rheydt (GER), Manerbio (IT) and London (GB) followed.
1993 …
Volker Topp, son and follower of the company founder, built a new plant in Durach near Kempten; thereby many internal processes could be optimized and simplified. At the same time the Italian production sites were joined to one new plant in Bassano/Brescia.
Since end of 2006
Topp Textil is located with an own production site in Romania to come up to the increasing importance of the East European textile market.
2011 …
Topp Textil invested more than 4 million euros in the site in Durach (meanwhile more than 16.000 sq m) and opened an own tube weaving mill to produce a special technical fabric for the Automotive Industry. A look on our history shows that development and inspiration are the basis of our success.
